It is not new, but perhaps this is a new take on it.
Intermittent fasting has been heralded as not only a way to lose weight, but to reset appetite & possibly metabolism. It is not for everyone; especially if you have been diagnosed as diabetic and/or taking insulin.
This is a study which was posted in an ACSM newsletter. If resistance training is your go to, this may be of particular interest to you.
As with anything, I encourage you to do your research. Taking ownership of your body–what you put into it, put it through, or pull it out of is your responsibility. No trainer, MD, nurse practitioner, herbalist, etc goes home in your body or houses its contents.
Be your own advocate.
